A bridge replaces a missing tooth space by using two crowns placed on the neighbouring teeth, with an adjoining artificial tooth in the middle. Your bridge can be made from porcelain and/or metal and is bonded onto the surrounding teeth for anchoring.

Fixed bridges can restore missing teeth to their natural form, function and appearance.
The success of any bridge depends on its foundation — the other teeth, gums, or bone to which it is attached. Therefore, it's very important to keep your existing teeth, gums and bone healthy.

This treatment entails two (2) appointments:

Appointment 1

1.     The teeth on either side of the space are prepared.
2.     An impression is taken of the prepared teeth.
3.     A temporary bridge is then placed
The impression is used by a lab technician to make the bridge.

Appointment 2

1.     The temporary bridge is removed and the permanent bridge, received from the lab, is cemented in place.
